I designed a tool that allows me to make jump rings where each side stays flat. I thought this would create more visually interesting looks, but I was unprepared for how cool it turned out! Each side of the wire now acts like a tiny mirror, reflecting it's environment. This was really difficult to photograph as it kept reflecting everything back at the camera! The square wire also creates a bolder, more modern look.

And why do I call it fuzzy chain? In addition to spending most of my time making jewelry, I am also an avid knitter. A few winters ago, I found inspiration in the bouclé yarn I was using. I loved the texture, and thought it would make a great chain! So I played around with various possibilities until I developed Fuzzy Chain. I think this chain has a very playful feel, and it's become one of my favorites both to make and to wear.
